Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 22, 2026
MindGlyph (“we”, “us”, “our”) is a free collection of word and puzzle games for Android and iOS. This policy explains what data the app handles, why, who we share it with, and the choices you have. Most of MindGlyph works the moment you open it — you can play as a guest with no personal details. The sections below apply only to the parts of the service you choose to use.
1. Who we are
MindGlyph is built and operated by the MindGlyph team. “You” means the person using the app, whether playing as a guest or signed in. For privacy questions or data requests, email support@mindglyph.app.
2. Information we collect
- Account & profile. You can play as a guest (an anonymous account with no personal details). If you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive your email, display name, and a provider identifier so your progress syncs across devices. You may also set a display name and a preset emoji avatar.
- Gameplay data. Puzzle results, streaks, scores, coins, experience/level, achievements, and per-game progress — stored to run the games, power leaderboards and stats, and sync across your devices.
- Social data. If you use friends and challenges, we store your friend connections, friend code, and the challenges you send or join so the feature can work.
- Device & usage. App version, platform, language, timezone, and basic event/diagnostic data used to operate, secure, and improve the app.
- Notifications. If you allow them, a push token so we can send daily-puzzle, streak, and challenge reminders. You can turn these off any time in Settings or your OS.
- Feedback. If you contact us through the in-app feedback form, we keep what you send so we can respond.
3. How we use it
We use this data only to: run the games; save and sync your progress; show leaderboards, stats, and achievements; deliver friends and challenges; send the notifications you opted into; display ads to keep the app free; and diagnose crashes and performance issues. We do not sell your personal data, and we do not pass your profile data to advertisers.
4. Service providers
We rely on trusted third parties that process data on our behalf:
- Google Firebase — anonymous/Google authentication, cloud messaging (push), analytics, crash reporting, and performance monitoring. Firebase privacy.
- Sign in with Apple — when you choose to sign in with Apple. Apple privacy.
- Google AdMob — in-app advertising, including rewarded ads. AdMob may use advertising identifiers to serve ads. Google ads & privacy.
5. Advertising
The app shows banner, rewarded, and interstitial ads so it can stay free. Ad partners may use device or advertising identifiers, and may infer your approximate location from your IP address, to deliver and measure ads. Rewarded and interstitial ads are limited and, in the case of rewarded ads, always your choice. You can reset or limit ad tracking in your device settings (Android: Ads settings; iOS: Tracking & App Privacy). Where required by law, Google’s consent surfaces (UMP) ask you to choose your ad preferences before ads load, and on iOS we ask for tracking permission (ATT) first.
6. Children
MindGlyph is a general-audience game and is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.
7. How long we keep your data
- Account and gameplay data — kept while your account exists, then removed when you delete your account.
- Push tokens — kept while valid; invalid tokens are removed automatically.
- Operational logs and aggregate analytics — pruned on a rolling schedule and retained without per-user identifiers.
8. Your choices & rights
- Delete your account. Settings → Delete account permanently removes your account and all associated data (stats, coins, progress, friends, tokens) from our servers. You can also request deletion without the app — see Delete your account.
- Notifications. Toggle off in Settings or your OS at any time.
- Access / correction. Contact us to request a copy of your data or to fix inaccuracies.
9. Regional rights (EEA/UK, California)
Depending on where you live you may have additional rights. If you are in the European Economic Area or the UK, you can access, correct, export, or erase your personal data, object to or restrict certain processing, and withdraw consent; our legal bases are performing the service you request, our legitimate interest in operating and securing the app, and your consent for ads and notifications. If you are in California, you have the right to know, delete, and correct your data, and to opt out of any “sale” or “sharing” — we do not sell your personal data. To exercise any right, use the in-app controls above or email support@mindglyph.app; we do not discriminate against you for exercising them.
10. Security
We cannot promise perfect security, but we use HTTPS for every endpoint, restrict database and admin access to operators, rate-limit public endpoints, and store credentials handled by our auth providers — never your provider password. Data may be processed on servers outside your country and by the third parties listed above per their policies.
11. Changes
We may update this policy. Material changes will be reflected by the “last updated” date above and, where appropriate, surfaced in the app. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated policy.
